Absolute Top up Tax software

Any views on this software please.

Didn't find your answer?

I am looking at options for small practice Tax software and the above sounds ideal for growing practice. Still on website but says all licences expire 31st March 2024. Have Absolute discountinued this ? Any suggestions for alternative please. If not discountinued any comments on wisdom of moving from Tax Filer much appreciated. Thanks for help

I've always had Absolute in my arsenal as an emergency backup... but not an avid user. It does the job,and ideal for low volume users.

Licences/ credits always expire on 31/03/XX. You need to renew, or buy additional topups each year. So... if you don't need credits before 31/03/2024, don't buy any 'til April!

I've been using it for 3 years having moved over from Taxfiler. (That was always inevitable once Iris bought them out) I sold the main part of the practice about the same time and the flexible pricing suited me. I've been very happy with the product, and have never needed any support.

Thanks for the reminder of this. Fairly sure this was set up by Tim Good who did PTP which I used for years until Iris bought it. Prices look as though they will work out well for me. Thanks also for the reminder about the importance of not buying before 31 March

Hi All.

My name is Dave Frost, I am the sales director at Absolute Software and TopUp Tax is one of our products.
In answer to the OP the licences run from the 1st April to the 31st March each year. I can confirm that the pricing of licences next year (and the year after) will be the same as last year!
If anyone is interested in having an online demo and a few free licences for March or if you have any queries at all about the software please email me at [email protected]

We use Top Up in our practice - about 350 returns and have had no issues at all.

I also use Tax Calc in another practice and find Top Up easier to use and navigate, although I do like Tax Calc also.

Hi I used Top Up Tax last year love it. but it requires iXBRL full accounts for CT600 submission. Would anyone know how I can get my account prepared in excel to be converted to iXBRL full account without burning the pocket? Thank you
