Hello everyone,
I have recently started working for a big 4 firm, and would like some advice on the ACA CTA Joint Programme, as I am currently considering my papers.
Has anyone actually sat the TOMC and OMB papers as part of the Joint Programme? If so, how was your experience?
I originally intended to sit OMB followed by individuals, but OMB pass rates are so low compared to the high TOMC pass rates.
I have been told that the OMB paper is wide ranging, and the TOMC is quite hardcore.
Having studied accounting and finance at both undergrad and postgrad levels, I am exempt from all ICAEW Certificate and Professional Level exams (not BPT), and therefore am able to sit my first CTA paper in May 2018.
Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you :)

Hi mate,
How is your ACA/CTA exams going?
I work for BIG4 too and have recently passed CTA OMB. I am due to sit TOMC in NOV 19.
In my experience, OMB syllabus was quite wide ranging and tried to cover most of the employed/self-employed/CT taxations.
Have you studied TOMC? if so, how was your experience? Is it as hard as everyone make it?
Thanks :)
