Do you want the notional rate or the one many will allow themselves to be bullied down to?

No idea what the real rates are.

I am happy at the circa £50-£75 per hour mark and tend to get it ,or pretty close to it, however I am sure if I had premises to pay for etc I would want to get far more ,as that level is pretty close to what the firm I was with charged out my time at (on paper) in 1999 when I left them and full time practice.

Think you may need a survey of average accountants first?

A dozen years ago when I last used them, my hourly rate spanned £50 to £180 ph and staff £20 to £60.

Today, on my own, it would probably be £0 to £250

Do you mean income or charge out?

(Ah, nearly forgot you won't be able to say because this question is so sensitive and highly confidential you need to remain anonymous.)
