Everyone likes different ones for different reasons. I would suggest devoting the time to trying out several in depth in order to find one that suits, they should all offer trial periods. Try at least Xero, Kashflow, Sage, FreeAgent and Quickbooks Online, others may recommend different ones, those are the ones I've used. I dislike them all to be honest but I hate bookkeeping so I tend to focus on the negatives.

With any of them, there will be a significant amount of work migrating existing data into the software, best to really test out the options before committing lest you have to re-do it all in a month when you find out your first choice was a stinker.

I would use VT but you are looking for cloud so any of the ones mentioned above but maybe not FreeAgent since it will automatically book corporation tax unless you set it up as a universal account and you can't set up new balance sheet ledger accounts.

Liberty Accounts is the only Cloud system I've found that handles Charity accounting, including SORP reports

I use Liberty Accounts for all of my clients and it has comprehensive charity support as noted by Paul Scholes. This includes online gift aid claims, allocating income and expenditure by activities and funds, so the right analysis between restricted and unrestricted funds is reported in the SORP statement. It also includes a Donor Ledger that splits individual donors into gift aided and non-gift aided plus it records corporate donors too. I have found it easy to use and turning on access to the charitable functions, just needs a tick in one box that is part of the system setup.
