Accounts package

Accounts package

Can anybody recommend an accounts package that will allow invoicing in more than two currencies?

QuickBooks Pro looks capable of dealing with invoicing in two currencies and allows accounting for multiple currencies but I need to invoice in euro, dollar and sterling. Possibly others in the future.

I do not need stock control nor do i really want to have to resort to word or excel.

Many thanks
Paul Honeywill

10 bright ideas
Paul,

If you are a Quickbooks fan then you'll be disappointed with the prices of products to be mentioned. You do not mention how many users or what you do (to see if some specific extra function is for you) so any specific "this is the one" advice would not help. It's not clear if your question is "can I bill the same customer on the same account in multiple currencies" or "can I bill any customer in one currency, but choose from many"

True multi currency (revaluations, multiple rates, multiple rates per account (ie customer account) or transaction)is expensive when compared to Quickbooks. Even the some big packages fail to give this.

Come down in price a lot (still look for revaluations, multiple rates, single rate per account or transaction) and there are loads of alternatives - Pastel, Encore, Sage, etc - each have their detractors and fans - but as with all decisions on accounting software, I'd choose 10 things you must must have, go into great detail on those 10 and only choose the product that can give 9 or 10.

Kind Regards

Multi-Currency
Hi

I can recommend the Exchequer Enterprise range of software. The "normal" version can be dual currency, but there is also a verson which can cope with upto 70 currencies - (In Biblical times there were though to be 70 countires in the world, so that should be enough!

I also found that there are some other quite attractive features of Exchequer.

I Project Managed an installation earlier this year and would be happy to be involved with another.

I'd like to recommend Access Dimensions
Hi Paul
Multi-currency functionality has always been one of the attractions of Access Dimensions. There is no limit to the number of currencies that you can use, or the number of exchange rates that can be allocated to each currency. The system calculates exchange rate differences and passes full currency analysis into the Nominal Ledger, for detailed management reporting. It calculates, holds and reports Home, Foreign and Second Base currencies in every line of every transaction.
Dimensions can also be operated using an unlimited number of Western (script-based) languages.

We're Armstrong Consultants - the leading UK reseller of Access Accounts. We'd be happy to help. If you would like to speak to us further about your requirements, call us on 01582 465100 / email [email protected]

Some excellent products
Paul

Some excellent products......and writers have been fairly explicit about their functionality

Given Paul has come from bracket A (I assume), just so Paul can see how much these products cost, would it be possible to put the retail price of the software (choose your cheapest platform\structure if many are offered) for the modules listed below in broad sterling bands

A: 0-999
B: 1,000-4,999
C: 5,000-9,999
D: 10,000-14,999
e: 15,00+

5 concurrent users with access to all modules
No Stock control
All normal ledgers
Multi currency
Single company

Kind Regards

Daniel

Access Accounts
Hi Paul,

For the Access Accounts system, software only, bracket C range would be appropriate. £5k-10k.

I hope this helps.
