Might be of use to those who have only limited authorisation for PAYE on your agent account and therefore can't submit a CJRS claim on behalf of your client......if you click on one of your clients where you DO have 64-8 authorisation in place, click on 'File a return' on the right hand side, then click on 'Clients' on the right hand side, it will give you your full list of clients again, but you can now click on those Limited Authorisation clients and submit a CJRS claim without it telling you that you're not authorised.

Worked for me too - filed 3 claims this evening, very straight forward process (I had all information readily to hand) submitted instantly & Claim Ref given :)
wow HMRC said that could not be done - quite amazing tip if it works and client gets money !
pure genius from Sheepy . . . i hope . .
but just tried it and it didn't work . dammit .
any thoughts anyone , as it is a pain applying for a good few PAYE authorisations.
I received authorisation codes from multiple clients yesterday. They are all showing as "Limited Authorisation". Incredibly frustrating. Haven't tried your method yet, but the most recent post says its not working anymore...will try myself...
I already had full authorisations in place for all clients but the 'Access the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme' link wasn't showing anywhere.
The OP's solution works in these circumstances also, many thanks.
This is really helpful thank you - I applied for authorisation for a client specifically so that I could claim via the Job Retention Scheme - but HMRC only provided (incorrectly) limited authorisation. By following your easy instructions, I have been able to make the claim.
