Agent service account now Online Service Account

Account set up as ASA now an Online Service Account

We set up an ASA in October 2018 but never accessed it until now. When we log in it is Online Services Account with no services or clients and there is no link to transfer clients from our existing Online Services Account. Tried to create another ASA and the HMRC system wont let us because it says we already have one. Waiting 2 days for HMRC online help but would be glad of any advice.

you should have linked it at the time that you set it up - from memory the question was - link clients now.
I have to say that the ASA is rubbish - badly written - not user friendly and when HMRC staff need to talk you through it a step at a time and they get loads of questions because people cant follow it then something had to be wrong. What about the poor clients trying to go from 40 years of manual books to rubbish like Xero or Sage One over night. What a sham its all turned out to be !

Logging in from the alternative starting point works. Just got to hope that creating another Gateway and ID hasn't messed it up!
