Can anybody else access their Agent Services account? I've been trying all morning and it says try again, they're experiencing technical difficulties

Hi - I am able to log into mine but stuck at the point the system sends (or says it sends) the 6-digit code to me. Worked previously - it's set up to go to my landline - no luck since end of last week.
When I filled in a web form to ask for help, the autoreply said that HMRC have changed their phone system for this verification.
The two people I spoke to (VAT helpline and general online services) said there is no global issue with codes or with ASAs/VAT submissions generally. But I would be interested to know if others are having difficulties - I can see online that the 6-digit code, or lack of, has been problematic for many in recent months.
Now at the mercy of HMRC's 2 working day turnaround for assistance.
Any others with similar issues?
See https://www.accountingweb.co.uk/any-answers/hmrc-access-codes-0 for related stories over last few days.
Mine is saying access denied, but it often says that when I'm trying to file a VAT return. The old way of filing has a new thing. It used to just say 'you have been logged out' when you tried to file a return and then I managed to work out that if you followed the link and managed to log on via the ASA account (which is when it often says access denied) you could eventually file a VAT return. Amazing. Now it just goes back to the log in page, no explanation, so directions, no link. So then tried to log in via ASA, and access denied.
Even the MTD ones are at the 18 month stage and so need two text messages to a colleague's mobile phone. Why ? Who thought that would be a good idea ?
All we're trying to do is collect their taxes for them, and they are making it increasingly hard. MTD in April 2023 ? Zero chance of that turning out OK.
