Agent Services Account - stuck half way through

Agent Services Account - stuck half way through

Didn't find your answer?

Setting up Agent Services Account - got nicely as far as the "Copied client relationships" and the correct number of clients was 'copied'.
Next page: "This site can’t be reached".

This video doesn't mention "Copied client relationships":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scHXKhu4QnI&feature=youtu.be

HMRC Online Services won't handle ASA queries - you have to click: "Get help with this page.", and wait.

Tried several browsers.

Anyone else had this problem?

I am having this problem too. I also watched the video and it doesn't reflect the process I went through! I've just given up for today, hoping it's their website.

Some other discussions suggest clearing caches / cookies?

Hi,
You are certainly not alone. I have everything correctly set up including ASA and bridging software but when I try to “Copy across more VAT and Self-Assessment client authorisations” I continually get a local host 9025 error or a “Safari cannot open this page..” error depending on the computer I’m using.
Surprisingly the helpline much touted as being the way to resolve all problems in the numerous HMRC MTD Webinars cannot help at all, as apparently it’s not a known problem! Going through the “get help with this page” results in slightly less than nothing at all! I’ve tried several different browsers on several different computers and cleared cache and cookies, but to no avail.
It’s very frustrating, and I can’t really see how it’s going to be resolved, but you are certainly not alone.

It seems several of us would appreciate knowing how this is eventually resolved.

I can't see it being cache/cookies when we get the same basic message from different browsers.

Maybe a security setting?

I'm wondering if it's because we have several 'old style' online agents accounts, not just one.

Or maybe just another HMRC bug.

Let's keep in touch!

Hi There,

This is a nightmare, we are having the same problem and HMRC is not solving anything.

Is there any new?

Reading through the comments here it strikes me that there is some form of javascript problem. It sounds really odd that different ports are being used.

If someone (who is using the Chrome Browser ideally on Windows 10) wants me to see what I can do to find out what is going on they should email me at [email protected]. I have to take the cat to the vets in the morning and then go to London in the afternoon, but might be able to slot in a remote session to run Chrome debug tools to at least find out something about this.

Thanks John. I think your efforts sorted the problem. I then just had to go into the bridging software and go through the HMRC authorisation option within that software again, and I managed to get the two small VAT Returns filed! Probably taken 50 hours or so over the last week, but thanks again it is very much appreciated.

The advantage of me (or someone with a similar level of technical ability) looking at what is going wrong is that I can tell HMRC precisely what the problem is. That enables it to be fixed quickly.

I posted the updates on this thread/question:
