Alternative to paypal

Client does not have paypal and needs to make payment from overseas

Didn't find your answer?

We use paypal to get paid from our overseas clients.  However one client does not have paypal and wants to make urgent payment by credit card.

We only get requests for credit card payment once a year

We have used Stripe before and have terrible problems getting paid.  Stripe are jus terrible.  Any alternatives do you recommend ?

There is also a Virtual Terminal option in paypal, so client can just give you the card details and you transact it in your account.

I have a Square terminal for the charity I look after. It was pretty easy to set up and takes credit card payments.

I don’t see why they need a Paypal account to pay you or are you saying that you don’t have one either? If so I don’t really understand the reference to PayPal sorry. My overseas clients just make bank transfers.

Thanks. Both parties need to have paypal. My client doesn't and unwilling to set it up. They are based in India and making international bank transfers from India is very cumbersome and lengthy process.

In my experience you can click to pay by credit card when on the PayPal screen.
