Alternative to SAGE 50

Alternative to SAGE 50

Didn't find your answer?

Company with 80k plus transactions a year needing an alternative to SAGE due to weight of transactions - the weight mainly comes from numerous product item lines used within SAGE invoicing routines. Any ideas please? Looking for something as robust as SAGE - yes I know all of SAGE's weaknesses but I still trust what it spews out. Is an upgrade to a mid tier SAGE product the way to go? If so, would I have to learn a completely new program or is there a familiarity about all products in the SAGE family?

Aqilla can handle volumes

We've a customer using Aqilla who processes tens of thousands of transactions on a DAILY basis. Reporting and enquiries remain speedy too.

Aqilla is cloud- or web-based accounting for small and medium-sized firms - you can visit www.aqilla.com for more information. Cost is usually more than acceptable to customers moving from Sage, and very acceptable for those moving from a mid-tier Sage product!

Sage 200

We've had a number of clients upgrade from Sage 50 to Sage 200. There are similarities between the two and Sage 200's layout is basically the same. One thing that helped is that clients chose to carry on using the same customer & supplier accounts, product codes and nominals as they had in Sage 50. With nominal transactions transferred over as well it made the switching of the financials relatively painless.

SAP Business One

We successfully implemented SAP Business One in our company and I can honestly say I love it. It's the most precision engineered software package I've ever used and best of all it's very scalable, it can support anything from 2 concurrent users and 100k+ transactions to 50 concurrent users and 5m+ transactions because of it's architecture. The only downside is it can get quite expensive having it tailored to suit your requirements but I still advise getting a quote.

sage 200

Sage 200 is the next step up and can handle that many transactions with ease. There is a simple import routine to pull information across including customers, suppliers, nominal and previous transactions so its a fairly simple transition. Most important thing is to make sure all your layouts (invoices etc) and reports are set up before and there are some small functionality differences. We have a migration guide we can send you if you want to know the detail - give me a ring 0845 139 1300 (ask for Hannah) or send an email [email protected] and I will forward it to you.

Good luck whichever path you decide to go down and feel free to give us a ring if you need any help!

Hannah
