Hi all
I'm looking for an expense management app that links to Xero. Not keen on Expensify, but looking for something similar, if anyone has any recommendations

What are you trying to get out of it?
For the basics, Xero’s Expenses is fine. For more advanced, I’ve heard that Rydoo is quite good & integrates with loads (incl Uber!).
I use Xero Expenses (£2.50pppcm, free for the practice if you’re a Xero partner) but then my staff don’t have mileage claims. I suppose you could make them write them down & then use the app. I get clients to use TripCatcher (£2.49pppcm) for their mileage claims, which I think is a good mileage app.
AutoEntry is another expense app you can link to Xero and cheaper (15p -19p /item depending on how many units you buy). They were planning to have a mileage feature on it, but I don’t know if they have yet - they hadn’t when I last checked it out in Sept. Both we and clients use AE for bulk processing purchase invoices etc. We also use it to convert pdf bank statements to CSV / Xero format. So useful all round.
ReceiptBank is another option, but not one I’ve any experience of. It’s probably the most expensive of the options. I think it has a mileage feature, but don’t know.
The AuoEntry expenses and mileage feature is up and running: https://help.autoentry.com/expenses-and-expense-reports/expenses-overview
Yes, but not available through the phone app, so may as not be.
MileIQ for mileage tracking, free if you have MS Office Business Premium subscription, otherwise a monthly fee.
We have a few clients using us for connected spreadsheets for these requirements, keeping it in excel just simply bringing the Xero accounts and tax rates down, and allowing for direct posting. If not the company expense cards work well for larger businesses, like pleo or soldo..
