Amending p35/14s

Amending p35/14s

Didn't find your answer?

Hello

Has anyone had to amend a p35 before, and if so did it cause a lot of grief? I know the procedures to follow I just dont know what the ramifications will be.

Basically my client has two companies which I have just taken over the accounts for. He advised his old clients that he took a basic salary of £7070 from the wrong company. So it has to be taken out of one return and put on another. There is of course a zero net effect but I am not sure if it gets Inland Revenue on your back?

Many Thanks.

No problem here

I've done it a few times. You have to do it via the HMRC online portal; I don't think you can do it using 3rd party software (you have to file the differences, not just file the correct figures).

I've never had any comeback.

Same here

In a very similar situation with two different companies.  You file the changes, which means effectively filing a new P35 & P14 for the "right" company and negating the entries for the wrong company.
