An interest take on marketing

Didn't find your answer?

Do you think ICAEW would kick my [***] if I did this?

I wouldn't take it that far personally but if it works for them.

I’m icaew. It’s definitely not the same as any accountant I know. Kicking [***] and punching someone in the nuts is not something I’ve seen before.

I guess the real question should be ... would you want the kind of people attracted by the message/visuals to become your clients?
Each to her/his own, but I'd run a mile to avoid them (hey that's the first benefit ... forcing me to exercise)!

I don't mind it and as you say it just needs to work for them and does not need the approval of other accountants.

I suspect kick [***] accountants find the marketing of other firms dull.

If he is winning work through it then its working, if it wasn't they wouldn't be doing it.

Still confused why it is any PBs business, does the ICAEW not allow you to advertise using a modern video? I fail to see anything offensive (or interesting) in that ad, just looks like many others to me

The style is going to appeal to a certain sort of client. Nothing wrong with a friendly, laid-back demeanour if that is what you prefer.

But they appear to be offering the earth for a pittance. They must be cutting corners somewhere, or sneaking in hidden charges, to be able to to pull that off.

I would think that most serious businessmen would choose slightly stuffy but competent to laid-back and friendly but lacking in knowledge any day.
