An interesting case

But not one of Justin's

To all of those AW members that suffered at the hands of a certain fire-breathing beast from of the Principality, read and enjoy:

https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/news/local-news/david-price-mickleover-...

http://www.mynewsdesk.com/uk/hm-revenue-customs-hmrc/pressreleases/fake-...

I'm sure that the irony of his repeated 'promises' of criminal prosecution of those members will not be lost on them.

Very interesting and another reason why there should be a public register of accountants to protect members of the public. Not just from fake accountants but also from incompetent ones too. Some of the questions and replies on Accounting Web shows there are a lot of them.

There are plenty of qualified accountants who have either fleeced HMRC or fuched if with clients' money. What you're suggesting won't help anybody apart from those of us that are qualified.

Is that the same chap that died in a motorcycle accident in Australia?

Yep - his thousands of mourners are going to be rather confused.

It's also the same chap that is (sorry, was) a champion racing driver, professional footballer, advanced police driving instructor, unarmed combat instructor, barrister, agent for several of Arsenal's top footballers, owner of a multi-million pound car dealership, owner of a 12-bedroom mansion, keeper of tigers, employer of 53 staff, payer of over £5m in taxes each year (oh, the irony of that particular claim) ... You name it, he's done it.

Sounds like the claim he should have made was to have been the inspiration behind Monty Python's Dennis Moore.

Pretty sure he also claimed to be ex-SAS. And Welsh. False claims of Welshness are unforgivable so I hope that was a lie too. Based on his attempts to use the language, I'd guess it was a lie.

You forget to reply to your own post.

I thought that was compulsory when posting about third party articles.

I'm not quite joining all the dots here. What was his user name on AWEB?

If you don’t know, then you don’t really need to know.

My post was directed at those that suffered his lies, insults, threats and abuse over a number of years. Under more user accounts than he has bricks in his cell walls. And by all accounts more user accounts than he has brain cells (contrary to his claim that he was a special member of MENSA with the highest IQ ever seen)

It's quite some time ago now, but my recollection is that that poster did have some useful contributions. Nowt so strange as folk.

Funny thing is, I quite enjoyed winding him up occasionally because beneath the nasty bluster I thought he was quite harmless. I was wrong.

Having seen the abuse that he’s handed out on other sites, I have never doubted that this is one sick individual.

I mentioned bricks in his cell walls earlier. Having read the various reports, it seems that a padded cell would be more appropriate.

I know he supposedly died, but why did he suddenly stop posting on here? Haven't seen him for several years? Or has he been lurking under a new name?

His ‘contributions’ faded away as the moderators found a way of dealing with him. He was last spotted here about a year ago, although continued to post his abuse elsewhere until his incarceration.

Interestingly, one of the AW moderators who managed to speak to him described the conversation as one of the weirdest ever. Given his actions, and his pure fantasy claims, clearly someone with something seriously wrong up top.

A narcissist I would think, but a sentimental one too. I recall he was nuts about dogs and was active in Pets as Therapy charity. People are very complicated.

You are assuming that he was telling the truth. Looking at his Mitty-like claims here and elsewhere, not to mention what has led to his imprisonment, I wouldn’t believe a single word he ever uttered.

I know what you mean. I did actually see online some documentary evidence that his dog was one of the first to take part. At the time I believed it, but maybe it was invented and he wrote it himself. I’ll see if I can dig it out.

I guess that he could have been an early beneficiary. It’s pretty clear that he has been in need of some form of therapy.

Oh yes, the wicker basket, the rubber gloves and, the dreaded drugs check! Something to look forward to?

Didn't he also profess to "look out" for and "protect" ladies who worked as prostitutes?

I can understand why some AW members had no respect for this individual. What a sad life?

Surprised AWeb hasn't done a big editorial feature on this.

'Prolific AnyAnswers contributor, after years of tireless charity work, takes a well-deserved break at the taxpayer's expense.'

I must admit I'm a bit of a duffer when it comes to the technical side of IT etc. How on earth did Ruddles get from the Welsh Dragon to David Price? I've done a lot of Googling but can't come up with any clues?

I didn't. It was a previous member that was made aware of, or found, his Facebook page, as well as a profile on the Daily Fail. From there it's an easy, and short, trail to follow - especially since the half-wit had posted photographs of his PC monitor showing his AW profile details :)
