Nope

But its a terribly clunky looking website.  Doesn't immediately make me want to use it!

They have lot of new client enquiries on there. They require £10 payment upfront for details of every lead. Feeling worried about our future especially in light of the recent thread about the £150 per annum fees!

This is where the £150 p/a clients ...

find their accountants!! If you start a relationship based on the lowest bidder wins then you can't expect not to lose them when some other mug offers to do it for £140!

yes I have used this site

yes we have used this site and other similar ones.  one or two clients gained from it, but overall we find it is mainly people shopping around for quotes that dont commit in the end.

even had one guy that went ahead, signed LOE etc and then just ignored us.

generally not a great source of leads imo

This is what I got when I tried to look at it. Is it popular as you say or rubbish??

Website you were trying to visit was disabled for 5 minutes, because it received over 20% of total server requests.
It means that this website was using over 20% of processor resources, which is above allowed limit.
Website was temporary disabled to protect server from overloading and other websites on server.

Agree with Steve H

Find your clients on here and its a race to the bottom.

£140 you say?

How about £135 and a free pen?

A Penny earned is better than nothing!

To be fair to the site, I have signed up 5 clients in a period of few days which is a big breakthrough for me. I agree these are small clients with average fees of £200 -£300 but for me this is not an issuee as im just starting. I guess for someone established, the type of clients from such sites are not lucrative. Are there any other sites like this????

From the Horse's mouth

Just a point of correction:

I work for http://find-accountants.com and i wish to thank you all for your comments; and most importantly we are grateful that we are making a difference to some accountants/advisors who are struggling to find clients. However i also wish to clarify a few things said above ie the point/suggestion that our sites produce only low fees clients.

We have a variety of visitors who post on our websites all looking for accounting /and tax services. Though most of the visitors are small businesses, the fees range from a few hundreds to thousands depending on the site of the business.

There are also a number of opportunities to make good returns with visitors looking for once -off tax services who are willing to pay a few hundreds for an expert to provide specialist tax advice. I can say with 99 confidence that most tax visitors are willing to pay at least £100 for even the simpliest tax question eg  help with working capital tax gain tax liability.

Hope we continue to help accountants and tax advisors ease the burdens of looking for clients and contribute to the success of their businesses.

If anyone has further comments or concerns, we would appreciate if you could contact us through our website: http://find-accountants.com or email us directly to [email protected].

We also welcome any accountants/advisors/bookeepers who are thinking of growing their businesses to try out our site - there is nothing to lose. The fee is only £10 and we have a good refund policy.

Scam?

We applied to this website and paid £250 up front for some discounted leads at 50%

They have now vanished and we didn't use all of our leads and no refunds?

Taken the money and run. Should be reported.
