Anyone have a courtesy letter I could use?

I have only recently started on my own, does anyone have a professional courtesy letter I could use?

Didn't find your answer?

Apologies for repeating myself. I have recently set up as an agent. Does anyone have a courtesy letter I could use for the previous accountant please?

ACCA have some helpful templates, one of which is a clearance letter: https://www.accaglobal.com/caribbean/en/technical-activities/technical-r.... You may need to tailor it, 6 years is excessive - I usually just ask for the last completed tax return and computation together with any permanent info - overlap, losses, elections, base costs etc.

Never seen a request for 6 years
That is asking old accountant to make a charge for handover
We have a local firm asking for three years
They get 1 from me and have never followed up asking for more

Had one last month requesting five years worth. And yes, they did follow up when we sent one.

With regards to 5 years worth, I don't think it's unreasonable to provide the latest 2 free of charge and to charge a nominal fee for the other 3.

I always ask for two years but if I only get one I don't follow up.
