Anyone heard of or any view of Corgi VAT Saver scheme

Anyone heard of or any view of Corgi VAT Saver...

Didn't find your answer?

My plumber client company has been contacted by Corgi offering VAT savings.

Something to do with charging only 5% VAT on the labour element of fitting energy efficient boilers.

But not actually stating it's 5% VAT on the invoice???

My client is then "able to be cheaper and offer more competitive prices"?

Anyone any experience please? Seems a bit of a scam. (not libelous I hope?!)

Corgi?
Corgi were replaced by Gas Safe back in 2009.

yes Corgi.

Even got their own website.

I'd rather hear accoutant views than, or before, their saleman schtick.

Care to share their website?
Here is the Gas Safe website

http://www.gassaferegister.co.uk/about/what_is_gas_safe_register.aspx

Very suspicious that the organisation contacting your client is using the name of an out of date regulator.

EDIT: Presumably this is the company you are referring to

There is another thread on Aweb about this.

Thank you.

Just 6 days ago a similar question.

But the search facility on this site is pants.

Spoken to a VAT specialist who suggested, via that same 2.3.3 reference it doesn't work.
