Anyone tried the adobe PDF reader AI yet?

Adobe are trialling an AI to analyse .pdf documents

Didn't find your answer?

I just tried it as I was reconciling original bank statments. I scanned one month in, and asked the AI to put the data into alphabetical order, with the relevent amounts and date collated next to it. My client had kept their receipts in alphabetical order rather than date order so they could keep track of their spending with each supplier. (Sigh) so rather than plowing through loads of them I was able to use the Ai output to easily match them to the document. I think it save me several hours of work. Im sure there will be many other uses as well, but thought I would share this one. I did of course scan in the remaining statments once I saw it worked.

I haven't tried to do anything with it yet but I like your story. You've definitely found a positive benefit for that tool. There will be more I'm sure. Watch this space....

So far it seems pretty good, and your is a very good example, trying it out myself.

Looks interesting.

Catch for me is I am way behind on the tech process, so looks ahead of my paygrade, I am still struggling to edit pdf's converted into Word (the tabs etc seem to go all over the place). I think I really need to get on a remedial office software course.

Adobe in my view is not great for this and we Able 2 extract for Word and Excel conversions it is much better.

The ultimate time saver would be for there to be a common format for invoices in which they are sent as data which accounting software recognises. At the moment its a pain because some invoices still come on paper, others by email (either inline or pdf) and some the supplier expects you to download from their portal. When it was all paper you knew where you stood.

So you told the software how to sort the data. Where did the AI start?
A computer cannot do anything unless it is told to do it.
