Anything better than Autoentry

Autoentry can't do currency invoices correctly

Didn't find your answer?

We have a client that has purchases in both GBP and USD -maybe 80  in GBP per month and 20 in USD. Client uploads the invoices via email to Autoentry.

Autoentry correctly recognises the invoice as in USD but when we download the invoice batch they all  come down as GBP so we cannot tell which is GBP and which is USD.

Can Receiptbank or any other software provider do this correctly?

ReceiptBank can do this (as can most others) but I'm more interested in what your doing with this after entry - download sounds ominously like your trying to integrate with desktop accounting software.

I haven't used AE for a while but I'd check your download settings are accurate first before switching to an alternate service.

I'm ominously using VT and download using AutoEntry's VT Excel option.

Pretty ominous :)

RB might not help as they don't have a VT download format unless you can live with the standard excel format export which you may have to tinker with to match VT mapping.

You'll likely save some time not messing with USD transactions but then lose some messing with formatting issues...

Could you not do the pound ones first and the dollar ones as a separate batch?

if your accounting software allows for FX/ non£ shoul d be fine [ provding say Supplier accounts is a £account + a $account. If not - then you are downlading invs surely into a base £ only setup [ and no cross rate tables ? ]
