APARI Accounting software for Landlords

Anyone had experience of APARI?

Didn't find your answer?

A landlord client that is looking to keep ahead of the game with MTD has asked me about using APARI accounting software.  I understand that it has been developed specifically for landlords to comply with the requirements of MTD.  It's one of the packages already approved by HMRC for MTD but I've never come across it before and don't know of anyone using it.  Has anyone had experience of using it and is it any good?

Not used but one question I would always ask the supplier is whether it is cashbook driven or invoice driven as obviously which clients it may be suitable/compliant for will need considered?

We are using Landmark Keyprime which is lease to invoice driven, before we selected them one software provider I visited demonstrated their far more straightforward software to me which failed to properly account for debtors and creditors and accordingly would not have worked for our various property investment entities. Software developers often do not get the problem if they lack an accountancy background- the lot I visited looked stunned when I pointed out their software would certainly not be compliant for our companies and even our property investment partnership was too large to operate prospective MTD reporting on a cash basis.
