Are any JSS templates available

JSS letter for employees

Didn't find your answer?

Can someone direct me to any HR website that has an updated template that employers can use for their employees with the updated JSS Open and JSS Closed schemes.

No I think is the answer. From the original GovUk document 23/10/20 word for word "HMRC will publish further guidance on what to include in the written agreement by end of October". Presumably that means tomorrow night at 21.30 to spoil yet another weekend for a scheme that is going live on Monday. Hopeless

No employer could sit down and agree this in a considered time frame with an employee. Surely the letter should be dated and signed 1st November if you want to use the scheme immediately even if practically it wasn't signed until the end of next week.

Needs to be agreed with an employee and in place before Sunday to claim for someone from 1st, otherwise you can only claim from the date it is agreed. I have seen versions this week from Peninsular & the FSB (where clients subscribe to their services) so they do exist.

I am sure I read somewhere zero hour contracts are exempt. Am I right? I can never see how you can foresee hours needed per month in advance.

Zero hour contracts can be included in JSS. No benefit to employer (as they have to pay extra 5% plus NI/pension on all the unworked pay but huge benefit to the employee so employer might do that to keep staff sweet. From what I saw the calculations will be similar to CJRS variable paid staff (ie based on using higher of prior year same month and prior year average)

Sorry. I was unclear on my post. I intended to say those on ZERO hours are exempt from the formal JSS letters getting agreement in writing. Don’t quite know where I saw it.
