Are Leasehold Management Packs CGT-Allowable?

Client Paid £250 For One of These Through Solicitor On Sale of Long Leasehold Residential Property

Didn't find your answer?

Recent Completion Statement from Solicitor on the disposal of a client's long leasehold property reveals £250 cost on sale for Leasehold Management Pack.

I understand that solicitors must have these Packs to deal with the sale. I assume these costs fall within the "incidental costs of sale" provisions of TCGA 1992 s38 and hence allowable for capital gains tax.

Do readers agree.

Not sure what it is but it sounds akin to a search fee. If so, I'd claim it as a cost of sale.

Tell us more .....
