Are the sift coffers running low?
More adverts than ever on each screen, with huge ads now showing across the bottom of the screen, top of the screen and just above each thread title.
It is so bad that all I can now see is the title and summary of the question, plus the first line of the post.
Not looking good is it Sift?

Yes, it is getting a bit much. My security software tells me that this comments page has loaded 18 advertising trackers!
There are some websites I've stopped using completely for this reason.
Don't get me started on the cookies and permission settings.
Something has to change soon, it's killing the internet
There are a bunch of local news website run by Reach which are pretty well unusable unless your computer and internet are both very fast, because of the number of clickbait adverts they load.
So true they are the worst and the ads look very similar to articles. Surely they are shooting themselves in the foot.
I don't even notice them. I just see the sections of the page relevant to me, and the rest filters by. I believe I have years of (not) listening to my mother-in-law to thank for my desensitized state.
But it can be a drag when the internet is on crawl-speed, when waiting for umpteen sponsor messages to load.
Why oh why in the year 2020 are you not using AdBlock? I've never even seen an advert on here, other than the weird shilly articles I sometimes click on by mistake.
