Are we the guy in the advert

We don't know nobody knows

Didn't find your answer?

I had to chuckle when I saw a comment from rockallj - "we don't know nobody knows" -  I'm currently trying to get my head round funded places and JRS reductions with a percentage apportionment private income v funded income v employee wages. You can't make this up.

I think we're similar to the guy in the advert, going  round the bend but hoping every base is covered and everthing should fit all sizes.

The current crisis makes all the rubbish that has been foisted upon us over the years (MTD,FPS,EPS,GDPR,MLR,AE....BBC - I added that last one.) utterly pointless.
I know the economy of the world is going to hell in a hand cart when my local authority telephoned me inviting me to apply for one of the government grant schemes on behalf of the Scout charity I am treasurer of. "Have £10k" they say - "you're worth it" even though we pay no business rates (charity exemption) and that sum vastly exceeds the charity's requirements- even in lock down. The authority have similarly invited every other charity in the area to apply regardless of need. How will it all end?
I don't know - nobody knows!

Did an application for a Scout group where I'm Treasurer myself yesterday.

We have a Scout hut. It has a rates number. It gets the charity exemption like you. But the council offered so mad to turn it down.

I did have a discussion with the GSL before the letter arrived. At the time I said I thought us not being a business would make us ineligible but we may as well apply just in case. We shall see if the money turns up.
