As an agent can I file a CT600E on line. Software?

Is there any software apart from HMRC which will enable an agent to File CT600E on line ?

Didn't find your answer?

My client is a small charity with a gross income of £4500. HMRC are insisting on a C.Tax return. I have submitted this but software does not include CT600E suplementary pages so it has been rejected. I am having fifficulty in finding C.Tax software that does include this. Its all a waste of time really because there is no way my client is liable for tax.

Pretty much any proprietary software will do this. As a practising accountant, what software are you using ?

Charities are generally mugged for a CT600 every five or six years so that HMRC can check on how they're doing.

It's just how it is. Irritating but inevitable.

It is now 10 months on and you still don’t have tax software? Do you file all CT600s using the clients’ logins then?

I use CCH. I know it's expensive but I am used to it and it can do all that I need. I have stuck to it. It can do self-assessments, ct600s etc etc

Taxfiler. £10 a month. Odd that you are finding it hard to find software to do it though. I can’t think of any software that doesn’t do it. Are you sure you know what you are doing?

HMRC software by the looks of it.

Taxfiler starts at £30 a month or £300 for the year.

Taxfiler starts at £10 a month. £30 is for unlimited clients which I assume the OP doesn’t need.

Sorry yes I agree. I thought from the website the OP was running an accounting practice.

Hello Everyone. Thanks for your replies. Interesting and helpful. I use QMS software for filing company CT600 returns. What I am having difficulty with is finding one that includes a CT600E section which is the Charities supplementary pages. These form the basis for an exemption from tax. My client is a small charity and it is probably not practical for them to register for their own log in with HMRC.

Taxfiler has that page. I have never used it but I just checked for you.
