ATED forms

Very quick!

Didn't find your answer?

Hi, just wanted to share my experience in dealing with HMRC and ATED (albeit a Relief Declaration so no tax due).

Client realised yesterday that they had to submit the form before 30 April deadline, I had not submitted one before and assumed that the online access would require an authorisation code, so initially emailed the ATED team for a paper copy, thinking that would come through quicker than an auth code.  I emailed them last night c8pm.  I also went online and then worked out, that the set up was immediate so was able to submit straight away (phew, client ducked a penalty).

This morning, I have just received an email from the ATED team with all the forms attached.

Not often (ever?!) HMRC have been that prompt.  Just wanted to share, and is it sad, that it actually brightened up my day on this grey morning :)

Happy Friday all.

Yes. I also have been singularly impressed with the efficiency, helpfulness and politeness of HMRC's ATED team (I hope I am not speaking too soon!). I cannot recall any problem at all with them. (If only the rest of HMRC were like them.)
