ATT Qualification and Probate

Didn't find your answer?

I would really appreciate if someone can advise me on this.....intend on doing ATT recently as part of ATT-CTA Pathways....have an exam in a couple of days (P3).A bit confused as to which papers to choose. I work in a small Accountancy Practice and started doing this to improve my knowledge on tax in a systematic way and I think ATT provides a perfect platfrom for that. Here is the deal, I plan on obtaining a probate licence next year so thought if I sit P1 or P2 and P5, then I would be more comfortable in probate if I know the basics of IHT, Trust and Estates.

Any suggestions if this sounds ok? Would you suggest P1 or P2 as the other paper?

I am sorry I cannot answer your question. However I am interested to know how you will obtain a probate licence. Are you an ACA as well, or is there another method to achieve this without being a solicitor?

As far as I know there is no other method. Only ACCA/ICAEW are authorised to do so.
