Authority to act - CIS

Is a separate 64-8 authorisation required

I already have PAYE 64-8 authority set up for all my payroll clients. I need, however, to speak to HMRC about a client company's CIS repayment. My client has received a letter from HMRC stating that I have not got the relevant authority set up. Is a separate authority required for CIS? Have I mistakenly assumed that PAYE authority would include CIS?

But that bit covers subcontract deducted on scheme

Maybe there are subcontract issues downwards that have an impact on refund.

I've tried to get an authorisation code for CIS twice before. Website says been sent, client's RO not received them. Tried a third time last week, fingers crossed!
