Auto Entry : Unreliability

 Letting other accountants and bookkeepers know so that you do not lose time as we have.   

 just wanted to let other accountants know that Auto Entry is having a publishing issue and is extremely unreliable.   

 We had 590 invoices in one company not published on Friday and eight on another.   After doing an audit we had to Unpublish all the invoices without the logo and unarchive them.   Disconnect Auto entry and Xero and republish them one by one as ticking the boxes would not publish them.   This has been going on for quite a while now

|Important if you are completing a vat return before you send it to the client. 

1:  I would advise any accountant who uses Auto Entry and Xero to log into your archive box and make sure there is a green box saying Xero for every invoice.

If it does not have the logo even though it has a green tick it has not been published to Xero.  Quite a few colleagues in other practices said there were not aware of the little XERO logo.   This is important especially if you are missing Vat for your Vat returns. 

 Note to Sage and Auto Entry: 

I think it is disgraceful that the company has not seen fit to email us and let us know.  I have discussed this with other accountants who use Xero and quite a few are having the same issue so we are not alone.  I hope someone from Auto Entry responds

Auto Entry has said they have now fixed the Xero bug and for anyone having current problems they need to Disconnect Auto Entry and Disconnect app in Xero in integrate tab and then reconnect the company this will fix the bug in Xero

Sorry I am not sure what you mean whether it is up to us to notice which we did or Auto Entry should have.

And if that's a malfunction when paired with market-leader Xero, it makes you wonder how buggy AE might become when hooked up to lesser accounting software.

I guess there's this same compatibility bug risk each and every time AE or Xero update their software; frequently, I should think.

I totally agree with you.

Quite a few of these software worry me. We use Hubdoc as well.

Other accountants in Glasgow are reporting Hubdoc being buggie as well. The last few weeks Hubdoc is regularly not remembering Data and codes. This is happening every week now with Hubdoc struggling timewise to pick up contacts info.

Still experiencing all sorts of issues with them 11/08/2022. Line item analysis not working, problems with inputting line items manually and even just selecting the supplier name from the dropdown only works if you use a work-around.
