Auto rec and analysis software

Has anybody found one that actually works well?

Didn't find your answer?

We are currently trying to find a piece of software to reduce the time taken on jobs but have thus far been unsuccessful.  We've looked at products such as auto rec but feel that, whilst relatively low cost, the benefit of the small amount of time saved is probably outweighed by the time that can be saved further down the line when a particular staff member has done a job from the very beginning and noted strange or potentially problematic transactions along the way.

Are many firms out there successfully using automated software of any kind?

We have very successfully rolled out auto entry and rate it very highly.

It has slashed processing times for us and made incomplete records and bookkeeping work profitable for us.

We use it to eliminate typing; allocation is still manual for that does allow the benefits of overview.

If organised properly allocation is a matter of clicking the mouse a few times with no manual typing.

We use AutoEntry for a number of large bookkeeping clients, I’m just going through the process of getting all the setting right to roll it out properly throughout our portfolio.

Thank you both for your input.

Have either of you used the AutoRec software from the same provider and, if so, is it a worthwhile add on?

I would also be interested in knowing whether you use AutoEntry for invoices, bank statements or both?

Can I ask, Is your starting point, the form of payment (bank and card statements) or an assorted pile of invoices?
