We have received a nice letter from our landlord advising the have forgot to invoice us for service charges, complete with a nice pile of invoices.
These service charges date back to 1997, therefore is there any rule which says they could be time barred as they are so old?
Many thanks.

Assuming it's a residential lease
the limitation is 18 months. More info at http://www.lease-advice.org/scgrframe.htm
18 month rule is strictly for residential
I assume for business the usual 6 year limitation period, and anything the lease may say, but I've no particular knowledge.
