Bokio has announced it will be charging from Feb

Didn't find your answer?

Just had an email from Bokio to say they will be introducing paid plans from 1st Feb 2022. Pricing can be found here: https://www.bokio.co.uk/pricing/?utm_source=BokioUsers+-+UK+%28auto-popu...

It doesn't look like much will be included in the free plan so we will have to upgrade, at least it's with a 50% discount (if we pay annually)

Inevitably all such software will start charging
Not much profit is giving away products for free

I doubt if there'll be many free plans in ten years' time.

I sort of have egg on my face here as they told me they would not be charging anytime soon.

Having said that it is clear that the headline post here is misleading as there is the "free plan" in the link you quoted - unless i am misreading link

So it looks like they will be "charging some customers" - is fair quote

Note - receipt inbox and bank feed (1) and invoicing are all included in the new free package so i think its unfair to say they are charging without mentioning free plan when the free plan loks very decent to me. Obviously some that use the extra features and have been suckered in may spit their dummy out and leave.

It does seem like their new pricing is probably a good solutionif it enables them to keep driving the product forward - it looks like this product is continually improving in that regard ?

For free software that offers bank feed invoicing ability and agent access i was impressed - some people may have higher expecatations of what you should get for nowt though.

The post said "It doesn't look like much will be included in the free plan so we will have to upgrade, at least it's with a 50% discount (if we pay annually)" so I think it was clear enough. There was also a link which showed the pricing, I wasn't being misleading.

Whether Bokio is any good or not depends, it was okay for free but that was their only real USP IMO.

Free plan looks pretty much like what I currently use (phew)..

Great for small home based businesses and MTD, plus I use it for a small charity.
