Afternoon all,

A company I incorporated for a client recently and registered for a new PAYE scheme shortly after. Client is £44.20 in credit (category per Allocations page is "tax due"). I know I can phone the employer's helpline, but I wondered if anyone had come accross this recently.

What's the question ?

Has an employee had a £44.20 tax repayment or has some weird, half-witted function of HMRC software given the client £44.20 for nothing ?

New employees who have had an in year gap since their last salary, possibly combined with a reduced salary, often get a tax refund as they catch up in using their gap period personal allowances.
