BTCSoftware discussion group?

BTCSoftware discussion group?

Didn't find your answer?

Given the increasing frequency of Any Answers posts and debates that mention BTCSoftware's tax and practice management products, would BTC users on AccountingWEB welcome a separate discussion group where they can share their BTC-related tips and queries with fellow users. We already have them for Sage, IRIS, TaxCalc and VT and some of these are among our most lively sub-communities.

Following last week's parade of BTC recommendations, ShirleyM and redman7 put in a request for a discussion group. If there are a few other people willing to join up and help keep threads ticking over, we'll set it up this week. Let us know below if the suggestion appeals to you - and thanks as always for your feedback on the site.

Yes please, John!

At BTCSoftware we'd definitely welcome this. There are a number of key developments underway  just now that should be of real benefit to our customers and this would certainly add to and help us with these.

It should also generate new ideas for additional features and enhancements in similar vein to our [email protected] email address.

I'd be interested to find out more about how it would work and what we can do to help make it truly beneficial to existing and prospective customers alike>

Many thanks,

Andrew

Good idea

Count me in too.

It's good software but there are some tweaks that could make it even better (if I ever get around to putting a list together).

Having been somewhat of a pioneer for a Xero discussion group Im in 2 minds whether it will be beneficial or not to have one for BTC also to be honest.  Now we have a Xero discussion group it is sometimes a little unclear on where is best to post a query or point on Xero.  Do I post it in any answers where more people will see it or do I put it in the discussion group where there is perhaps more dedicated knowledge.  Firsty blogs now and then on Xero too so thats a third place where there could be some info on Xero so it all becomes a little diluted.

Discussion group is now open for business

If you haven't already discovered it, come on over and join in.

Following a few conversations this week, I have suggested that redman7 might be a good person to act as group moderator, but that shouldn't put off anyone who's keen to take on the role.

I also understand MissAccounting's misgivings, which I've addressed on a starter thread in the new group. There are no hard and fast rules about where you post queries on AccountingWEB, but the thinking is that a discussion group allows for more free-wheeling debates around specialist topics that might put off other users of the site.

So discussing niggles with the product, or debating what you'd like to see on the upgrade wishlist are ideal topics, along with "how-to" tricks and tips that might not be relevant to the wider membership.

The Sage 50 Accounts discussion group is very good at that sort of thing if you want to see a successful example. But from now on, BTC users have their own gathering place on AccountingWEB.
