Business concept

Business concept

Didn't find your answer?

Hi Guys

I'm just starting a new business making kits to enable the customer to make small garden decorations.  The product's aimed at the gift market; hopefully people will want to give the products to their (more senior) loved ones.

I was just wondering what people thought of the name, "Make Your Spouse a Gnome"?

Surely this could be construed as passing a comment on her lack of beauty and liable to introduce marital disharmony rather than wifely gratitude

Well, it would certainly be a unique company name!

Luckily the domain www.mysag.co.uk is still available though sadly the .com version has been snapped-up.

Bernard: why assume the lucky recipient of this highly desirable gift in an (old) lady?

Captain

I didn't mention old.

In my experience ladies of all ages and dispositions display a remarkably similar attitiude to most things in life and greet presents with a degree of suspicion akin to North Korea's view of American food parcels

Make my spouse a gnome

Sorry, but Carla Bruni Sarkozy seems to have thought of this already

headline?

I am so used to reading Metro headlines over people's shoulders that I expected this to be 'make your spouse [into] a gnome', not sure how one would go about marketing that one!

You could advertise this business on the radio
On the Gnome service presumably.

It would go down well in Belgium and Holland

I think it would go down very well in Belgium and Holland where they seem to have lots of these things in their gardens.  They even take them on holiday, in the past (when we had a caravan)we've seen many Dutch and Belgian families arrive at caravan sites and proceed to get a variety of gnomes, chain-link fencing and even lawn-mowers from inside their caravans so they can make the place look "pretty".

Just to prove Bernard wrong...

I am female, mid-40s & short, and would think it totally hilarious if somebody gave me a gnome of myself!! :-)
