Can anyone recommend a fax send/receive service which I can use via email?

Can anyone recommend a fax send/receive service...

Didn't find your answer?

I have tried 3 services which promise to email faxes which you receive/send. None have yet been reliable, any suggestions?

I used PamFax for a while. Had no problems with it. Don't use them or anyone else any more as I abandoned fax altogether. Thing of the past in my office.

Faxtastic

We still have two clients who cling to the service, as do a load of banks and building societies (mortgage lending in particular it seems).  Fax might be a thing of the past in our office but it ain't dead yet.

We use www.faxtastic.co.uk

We do this via voipfone, who (as you might've guessed from the name) also provide our VOIP phone service.

Sometimes when we need to get clients to fax something somewhere as a one off, we get them to use this, which is free for occasional use.

Gradwell

www.gradwell.com offer a fax-to-Email service (the inbound fax is rendered as a PDF and sent to your nominated email account). You can also send faxes i.e. email-to-fax. I think we pay £3.00/month. Thinking about it though, I can't even remember when we last received a fax!

Fax

For faxes I use a US programme called Supervoice Pro which cost me $25 some years ago. It runs in conjunction with a robotics modem that stays live when the computer is off and saves any incoming messages.  It would also save voice calls if I wanted. Modem, Broadband and telephone all come off the one line.  Advantage of this system is that faxes are shown on the screen so if I don't want them I can just delete them without having to print.  Doesn't quite answe the question relating to emails perhaps but for something that cost me next to nothing it works well. Supervoice would work with any modem but the Robotics is the only one I know that stays live when the computer is off.

Faxtastic

We also use faxtastic.  We don't receive many but still have to fax payment submissions to a bank for a clients payroll.

Gradwell also offer it but we have not used it bt are very pleased with their VOIP service.

Efax

We use Efax to receive faxes, and have been pleased with it.

It also means we can save them straight to the client files without having to scan them in.

We very rarely actually send faxes but if we do we use the fax facility on our multi function printer, it is cheaper than sending with Efax.
