I am doing a Proadvisor Quickbooks course on self-study. And I would like to do bookkeeping and tax returns for a small business, according to Quickbooks I would need an Agent Service Account. I went to the HRMC website and it seems in order to create ASA, I would need the supervisory body’s name and membership number. At the moment I am studying also for ACCA, but it will take me around three years as the PER has to be completed. I would like to know. How can I do accountancy and bookkeeping services for self-employers and small business while I carry on with my studies? or can I use another accountant ASA? As the ACCA Rulebook, and particularly Regulation 8 says that I could work as an accountant if I am supervised and signed off by an appropriate person.
