can my dubai business charge my uk business?

my digital company in dubai charges my also u.k. company for marketing costs. is this legal to do?

i am a u.k. resident, i own 50% of two companies one in dubai which does digital marketing and one in the u.k. which sell goods. 

can my dubai business charge my u.k. business for marketing costs such as managing high volume of facebook ads etc

my business partner runs the marketing business in dubai & is a resident i just own half the company as a director.

Running the business and doing the work are not necessarily the same thing. If the work is all done from Dubai, then, on the face of it, charging is reasonable. But as others have said, your accountants should be better able to advise as they can discuss the full facts with you. They should also be able to help advise on the amount to be charged.

You are asking the wrong question.

Talk to your Dubai accountant and your UK accountant, who will get to the bottom of the correct questions.

Anyone can charge anyone for anything!

Whether you'd want to will be driven by considerations including tax, which your accountants should be able to help with.
