Can they claim £1,000 trading allowance?

Self-employed with £nil actual expenses

Didn't find your answer?

Among other income client has self-employed income for admin work for which they incur no expenses.

None because they should really be employed. They’ve asked to be treated correctly but now leave this in hands of the employer.

Having previously claimed nil expenses can they now claim the fixed £1,000 trading allowance and reduce the SE profits?

I notice there’s an exclusion for receipts from an employer but could that possibly apply in this case?

Thanks
