Capital distribution double entry on closure

Capital distribution double entry on closure

Didn't find your answer?

Hello

I am doing an informal strike off for my client as this is the most tax efficient way to wind down the company.

I have paid dividend to take the shareholders funds to 25k which will allow a capital distribution to be made.

On the CT600 I have put these down in the CGT section as a disposal of unlisted securities - £25000 proceeds less the £1 value of the share at cost. Is this correct?

I cannot see any category in the accounts that looks like the correct place to put this transaction which I think should be a reserves distribution?

I use Taxfiler.

Any help or positive contributuion would be much apprecaiated

Thank you
