Cashflow software for Sage user

What can you recommend?

Didn't find your answer?

I am about to speak to a prospect who is using either Sage50 or Sage200 software. They're looking for help with cashflow analysis.
I see that Sage is pushing Sage Intacct, which appears to summarise kpi's, as well as do cash management. I am guessing it picks up data from the Sage bookkeeping package. At the moment I can only assume it would work with both Sage products.
It probably costs an arm and a leg as they keep going on about roi. I may ask them for a demo, but of course they won't own up to what it won't do.

What cashflow software have you seen that would help a Sage user needing cash management assistance?

I agree Winforcast was an amazing product, used it all the time. Though I was a bit of a poweruser of it in the day, it did have it's weaknesses for which I created workarounds.

However to be honest, if I was still in practice I would be using Castaway all day long, as it's the best one available and way better than WF

If you are trying to forecast forwards, then, really only Excel is going to help you..

Good point. I found a business called Excel-skills UK, who've designed some spreadsheets that could be very useful. So I shall probably start with those and see how I go.

I've been testing Forecast 5 which is an alternative to Sage WinForecast and have been really impressed with it. It will bring in actuals direct from Sage 50 not sure about Sage 200.

Worth a look.

Thank you R5P. My evolving plan is to get a list of this sort of software and trial it.
Meanwhile I'll start with a spreadsheet while I get to know the client better and can think about whether I want them to spend £100 or so a month on this sort of thing.
It may be they don't need this level of sophistication, but it's always useful to know what's out there.
