Client has successfully opended GGA and CGT on UK Property Account. I do have an Agents Service Account but only authorised for VAT at present.
Do I have to register this ASA for Self Assessment? If so how? I am going round in circles> If Try to request access to SA for agents and out my SA agent code in it will not accept. I cannot work out what to do next. Can any body help? Please.

Do it in paper would be my suggestion.
PM me with email address and I will forward the PDF
It's not self assessment you're registering for, it's the Capital Gains Tax on UK property service, SA isn't available as a service on the ASA, which is why you're stuck.
Ignore Paul's suggestion, I've done several and it's fast and simple provided your client can work a computer, which I would infer is the case from your post.
Have a look here, that tells you what you need to do - https://www.gov.uk/guidance/managing-your-clients-capital-gains-tax-on-u...
If you can get all the steps to work it is fine, but a sledgehammer to crack a nut IMO
- Client gives you their CG account reference
- You sign in to your agent services account.
- Select ‘ask a client to authorise you’ to manage their Capital Gains Tax on UK property account.
- Enter your client’s details and you’ll get a link to share with them and the date it expires.
- Send your client an email asking them to use the link to authorise you.
- Tell your client they must use the Government Gateway user ID and password they used to create their Capital Gains Tax on UK property account. They must not enter another user ID or create a new one.
Well whether we have different accounts or whether something else is going on, the page you're on is not the page I'm on.
I log in to our ASA and there are three tax services:
Making Tax Digital for VAT
Trusts and estates
Capital Gains Tax on UK property
Under that is an option for "Other Tax Services" which tells me to use the other gateway account for SA, Corp Tax or PAYE.
