Change of legal status - cgt implications?

Change of legal status - cgt implications?

Didn't find your answer?

I am a member of my local village social club. It intends to change legal status from an unlimited liability members organization to a SCIO (Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organization). The club owns it's premises. Will there be any capital gains tax liability on the change of legal status?

None on gift to a charity

Very detailed guidance on RFU site for English law, you may need to adapt

What was the outcome of club becoming a SCIO. Club would have been subject to corporation tax on gain on transfer of property? The relief for gifts to charities at s257 TCGA only applies to individuals?
