7 years ago we changed address then 3 years ago we changed the firms name. In all this time I have still been unable to get HMRC to change PAYE agents details on their system. A new client today emailed to ask why he had received an authorisation code for an unknown firm at an unknown address. I have written numerous times, listing each client separately with full references but nothing happens. Any ideas how I can get these idiots to do something about it ?

Do you use the Agent Account Manager service for issues?

We had similar and i emailed a bundle of details and it was sorted out presumably by an Agent Maintainer.

I've just had a letter from HMRC about this. I wrote to them to update the address and had to send them a list of all clients who I have 64-8s in place for with their PAYE reference. Then apparently for every new client who I get authorisaton for, I need to let them know via a letter as well as the usual process. 

Apparently they can't update the central database so my address is stuck as the old address, even for new clients. 

Remember, digital accounts are coming. Can't wait for that one!
