Charity accounts software

Charity accounts software

Didn't find your answer?

Hi,

I have a couple of charities - teh accounts of which I do to help out. One charity has risen over the 250k threshold and would like software,

would love to hear options from others:

1) Keytime - I like this but its not cloud -based. I want something I can log onto whilst Im on the move

2) PTP - this is the cheaper option from IRIS. Not sure but think it is cloud-based

Any other ideas much appreciated

the best is possibly Quickbooks, i have charities who use the desktop version as it is great for use of various funds. the cloud version requires a slightly different mindset but should do the trick as clients are moving on to it

Neither Keytime nor PTP are cloud based. Neither are bookkeeping products. Neither are cheap. I would recommend neither for a charity.

Can you clarify what you are looking for? Bookkeeping or final accounts? Cloud or non-cloud? Cheap or expensive?

I would recommend Paxton Charities Accounting (see http://www.paxtoncharities.co.uk/). It covers pretty much everything you may require: multiple funds, Gift Aid, Charity Commission reporting, etc., etc. There are both PC-based & online versions.

I used Liberty Accounts for two charities. It is the cloud, has gift aid built in and the transactions can be allocated to funds and activities, to comply with the SORP.

Aqilla have many users in the charity and NFP sector, it is excellent at producing SORP & SOFA reports plus fund & project accounting, it's cloud based and very easy to use

From the tone and content of your enquiry, I get the impression that "cloud-based" is your most important criterion. (If not "most", then certainly up near the top).

I would therefore recommend that you take a look at Aqilla. This was designed and built, from scratch, to be cloud-based. It is not a "non-cloud" system that has been belatedly shoe-horned into the cloud.

I also believe that they have numerous Charity clients (also see the other respondent in this thread).
