Cheap forecasting software - recommendations

Didn't find your answer?

We are a small accountancy practice who prepares a very small amount of financial business plans.  We used to use the desktop Sage Winforecast a few years ago which was a one off purchase and did the job perfectly.  We don't have a copy of the programme and I suspect it won't work on modern Windows anyway even if we could get hold of one.  Is there anything out there similar to Winforecast that is not in the cloud?  We do not want to pay exorbitant monthly fees for cloud software we will barely use.  We are loathe to prepare any plans without software as once used, Excel seems a very poor substitute!  Many thanks for any thoughts.

Actually WinForecast will still work on more modern versions of Windows you just need to follow the instructions on the Sage help to faff about with certain registry files and install via the Command Prompt. Whilst you may not have the physical program you may actually still have this in your available downloads if you log into your original My Sage account as a legacy piece of software.
