CIOT AML annual form

Anyone else having issues?

Didn't find your answer?

Thought I'd complete my AML form soon after as I received the email notification last week (we'll ignore the odd timing of Friday night before a Bank Holiday weekend). Logged into the Portal to be told no details of my firm found. Emailed CIOT, no reply. Today, my firm's details have appeared on the Portal but I get an error message upon submission. Just wondered if any other CIOT members have had something similar happen? TIA.

Did mine yesterday, had been trying for a few days though. No idea why it never seems to work

Thanks mgandc - relief to know it's not just me. Bad enough having to hand over £300 without spending all this extra time too.

CIOT replied to my query on this: "Thank you for your email and we apologise for the inconvenience caused by the access problems with the Portal. We are urgently trying to resolve the IT issues causing this and will get back to you with an update as soon as we can."

Took absolutely ages to log in and work through the questions, system painfully slow. Then when I got to the end and pressed the "submit & take to payment" button, I got a screen saying Page Not Found.
Emailed AML @ CIOT and they confirmed they have received my answers and have sent me a separate link to make the £310 payment. Got there in the end but such a palava.

Glad you got there in the end!

Mine came up with an 'error/not submitted' message after I pressed submit but then got an automatic email from CIOT acknowledging receipt. Still haven't got any link to submit payment though, no replies to my emails to CIOT and when I try to log back in it comes up with the original 'can't find any firms' message - aaargh!! Hopefully they'll resolve this soon.

All of the above, but I eventually managed to log in and complete and submit the form.
But I can't pay either online or by phone.
Seems they don't want my three hundred and ten quid

Just as I started dreaming of alternative (and nicer) ways to spend my £310, the payment link was up today when I logged into the Portal.

I have had the same problems too, still waiting to find out how I can make payment. I must admit that I have found the whole website very clunky, not what you would expect from a professional body. I wont start on the what I think about the new logo........just makes me wonder where our membership fees go?

On some awful PR firm rather than a decent IT one by the looks of things. I hate the new logo too - I grimace every time I look at the Tax Adviser magazine. Would have been nice if they'd asked members' opinions before changing the old one!

There is of course the added joy of threatening emails of action if you have given a slightly incorrect answer to anything. Would be much better if they focused on being supportive.
