CIS Suffered incorrect

Didn't find your answer?

I completed CT600 for client and worked out CIS due and subsequently submitted claim.  Client has been informed by HMRC that it doesn't match with their records and to update the figures.  Checking the CIS suffered client hadn't supplied the last 4 months of that year.  (I accept I should have checked that at the time)

Using Payroll Manager is it a simple matter of updating the figures and resubmitting the 19-20 paye, or do I need to do something else?

Can you still file an EPS for the last tax year? A client has just found a CIS certificate and I didn’t know what to do.

Thanks for this.

I've never had one where HMRC challenged an under-reporting of CIS tax.
My impression is that they choose to ignore and flag up over declarations.

So typically HMRC
Agree usually HMRC will refund a figure that is an underclaim without comment

Will refund nothing if an overclaim (per their hopeless spreadsheets)

Missed half the entries
