CIS Suffered subcontract reporting

IS the CRN or NINO number required for the contractor on this report?

Didn't find your answer?

I work for a cloud accounting software company and am trying to determine if the CRN or NINO is required on the CIS Suffered report when a subcontractor is reporting to the government. The form report that we are looking at contains this information but has seen requests to remove it.

Question:

When a subcontractor reports for CIS Suffered, are they required to report the CRN and/or NINO of the contractor they are reporting CIS Suffered from?

If not required, is it general business practice to include this information?

Is this information typical that a subcontractor would have for a contractor?

Thank you for your consideration

A limited company subcontractor will report the CIS suffered via an EPS with no requirement or facility to include the contractor(s) reference number(s)
